Mal Ciputra Tangerang Equipped with Solar Power Plant, The Biggest in Ciputra Group

Mal Ciputra Tangerang, located in CitraRaya Tangerang project, has officially commissioned its Solar Power Plant (PLTS) through a collaboration with PT Ineco Solar Solutions (Inecosolar), a Yinson Renewables Company. This step is part of company’s commitment to deliver more clean energy and also creating a sustainable city. As a developer carrying “Creating Cities, Weaving Lives” philosophy, Ciputra Group believes development is not only measured by presence of infrastructure, but also by how a city can provide a better quality of life for community and preserve environmental sustainability for future generations

The rooftop solar power system installed at Mal Ciputra Tangerang consists of 1,260 solar panels. It is projected to generate approximately 1,200,000 kWh of clean energy annually and reduce more than 850 tons of carbon emissions (CO₂) in its first year of operation. It can also meet around 23% of Mal Ciputra Tangerang’s electricity needs during the day. Through this collaboration with Inecosolar, the system is designed to improve energy efficiency while reducing dependency on conventional energy sources, thereby delivering a long-term positive impact on the environment.To illustrate, the resulting environmental benefits are equivalent to:Reducing carbon emissions by more than 850 tons of CO₂ in the first year of operation.The carbon absorption capacity of approximately 40,600 mature trees for one year.Emission reductions equivalent to driving a gasoline-powered vehicle for over 4,400 kilometers, or removing about 200 cars from the road each year.
