Ciputra Group established a partnership with Esa Unggul University in order to bring higher education facilities to CitraRaya Tangerang.
Independent Director of PT Ciputra Residence, Mary Octo Sihombing, said that the new buildings of Esa Unggul University in CitraRaya Tangerang campus will begin construction and is expected to be completed next year on the Odd Semester of academic year 2020/2021.
“As the development of CitraRaya Tangerang continues, the establishment of bigger lecturing building facilities has become a necessity” he said during the Groundbreaking ceremony in Tangerang, Wednesday, January 8.
Having a total building area of 24,013 sqm, the construction of CitraRaya campus will be carried out in two phases. The first phase consists of the construction of 11,714 sqm of CitraRaya campus and 400 sqm of public facilities. Meanwhile, the second phase will build the remaining campus building of 11,899 sqm.
The design of Esa Unggul CitraRaya campus will apply modern elements that are based on the behavior patterns of the building users so that the function of the building can be maximized and optimized. Moreover, the optimization of a building will certainly bring positive impacts on the sustainability of the surrounding areas.
Standing on top of 15,560 sqm land, the new campus will consist of two 10-story main towers and 5-story main hall. Esa Unggul CitraRaya Tangerang campus will also be equipped with numerous facilities, such as sports fields, mosque, parking area and other lecturing facilities. The Esa Unggul CitraRaya campus will have a capacity of 5,000 students.
M Derajat Amperaya, the Chairperson of the Construction, said that the first phase will begin shortly after groundbreaking ceremony. The first phase development is estimated to be able to accommodate 5,000 students at once.
“After this groundbreaking, we will begin the construction. Hopefully it can be completed next year so that by the odd semester of academic year 2020/2021, it could have been used although in phases,” he continued.
For the next phase, Derajat explained, there will be more facilities designed to improve the services, as well as to accommodate the wide-ranging students’ needs.
Regarding the contract value, Derajat admitted that he didn’t know the exact amount. “The things that I know are the completion targets, including the specification of product materials and the metric scale,” he explained.
The Rector of Esa Unggul University, Arief Kusuma Among Praja, added that the groundbreaking of this CitraRaya campus demonstrated the commitment of Esa Unggul University in realizing a campus with the best academic quality and educational services in Indonesia as envisioned in the vision and mission of the campus in becoming a World Class University that is reflected through the facilities provided in the new UEU campus – CitraRaya Tangerang campus.
