Government Appreciates Ciputra Hospitals’ Additional Covid-19 Isolation Facilities



The government appreciated the support from Ciputra Group, through its Ciputra Hospital CitraGarden City – West Jakarta and Ciputra Hospital Citra Raya – Tangerang which have operated negative pressure isolation rooms with total capacity of 210 beds since May 1, 2020 in order to treat Covid-19 patients.

Both hospitals have been appointed by the Provincial Health Services as the Covid-19 Service Network for DKI Jakarta and Banten provinces as they already have standard facilities in accordance with the technical guidelines of facilities, infrastructures and buildings in treating Covid-19 patients.

DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan welcomed the involvement of Ciputra Group, through Ciputra Hospital, and other private hospital operators in anticipation of a rising surge of Covid-19 patients.

Moreover, Anies added that Ciputra Hospital have expressed the commitment in dedicating their facilities to be used by the public to obtain treatment services and Covid-19 testing services.

“The prompt and proper treatment from the medical personnel and adequate hospital facilities are the key to the recovery of Covid-19 patients. With the support and the assistance from Ciputra Hospital, the Government hopes Covid-19 patients could be treated as early as possible, in order to prevent the spread of Covid-19,” told DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan to the reporters in Jakarta, Tuesday (12/5/2020).

Anies said that the hospitals in the Capital region have accepted numerous Covid-19 patients. A total of 13 hospitals in DKI Jakarta were designated as referral hospitals to handle Covid-19 cases, in addition to other hospitals that were appointed as network hospitals to handle Covid-19 patients, considering the number of positive cases in Jakarta that remained high.

Managing Director Ciputra Group Budiarsa Sastrawinata explained that the addition of the Covid-19 isolation facilities by Ciputra Group was an embodiment of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to the communities and the support to the government in balancing the capacity of the referral hospitals given the high number of Covid-19 patients.

The readiness of isolation facilities in Ciputra Hospital, according to Budiarsa, has been equipped with ICU and HCU rooms with ventilators and patient monitors inside, hemodialysis rooms with adequate amount of hemodialysis (HD) machines in order to support HD patients affected by Covid-19, as well as medical personnel armed with adequate personal protective equipment (PPE) in accordance to WHO standards.

Ciputra Hospital currently also provides rapid test and RT-PCR swab test in collaboration with non-referred laboratories to improve the accuracy in identifying patients into people under monitoring (ODP), patients under monitoring (PDP), and Covid-19 criteria by using drive thru system through web-based registration at cihos.com/covid starting from May 11 to May 16 at 8-11 AM Jakarta time.
